Wearable Technology in today’s market

In 2017 advance in wearable Technology has exploded. as stated by – CCS Insight expects. The wearables market to reach $14 billion by the end of this year, according to Forbes. And BI Intelligence, Business Insider’s premium research service, expects the wearables market to grow to 162.9 million units by the end of 2020. *

The fashion industry is realising more and more that they must keep up with growing demand. However, this is where the conflict comes in online stores even Amazon who grew through online sales are realising that customers want more than seeing a picture and a description they want to be able to feel the texture of the clothes, for example, try it on without the worry of will it fit me, and I must send it back so causing a delay in your purchase.

Amazon opened their first store this year,  So what next I wonder are we going back to our towns having shops again? so many of our towns have been almost closed down due to online sales but maybe there can be both with the advancements in the wearable technology.


Wearable Technology glasses could we see offers designed around out purchase history as we walk into a store?

For example, using this to help you find the best deal or relevant items from your previous buys. We already are doing this really with our phones to a degree. However, what if the shop automatically shows you items you have liked before through your glasses. These are no longer are they like bricks, each year they become more and more fashionable. Have we already become reliant on technology it’s a question to ponder? We all love are wearable devices but what happens if one day they all just stop working!
